Olive Branch

The Olive Branch hosts the JAARS youth group and Summer Safari, a summer program for elementary kids while their parents are in training. The mission of JAARS Youth and Young Adult Ministries is for our MKs and TCKs to thrive and to develop a healthy and growing relationship with the Lord wherever they are.

What does “TCK” mean?

TCK stands for “third culture kid”. This is someone who was raised in a culture other than their parents’ (this happens often with missionary kids!) This person assumes a “mixed identity” or a “third culture” that is influenced by both their parents’ culture and the culture in which they were raised.
